Information on the village of Yetholm, near Kelso in Scotland.
Yetholm Loch is a Scottish WildlifeTrust Reserve with many water birds to be seen at various times of the year. It was the site of Lochtour, a tower which was on an island in the loch, and which is reputed to have been the inspiration for the border keep in Walter Scott's 'The Monastery'. Public Transport - There is a regular bus service from the Baptist Church stance in Bowmont Street, Kelso. Church - Church of Scotland in Kirk Yetholm. Part of the linkage of Yetholm with Morebattle, Hounam and Linton. Rev Robin McHaffie, The Manse, Kirk Yetholm (01573 420308) is the present incumbent.
